Bill Cosby was found guilty of sexual abuse!
Bill Cosby has been convicted.
After three days of deliberation, a Santa Monica jury announced their decision in Judy Huth’s legal battle; against the 84-year-old comedian on Tuesday (June 21).
Judy Huth was awarded $500,000 in damages by the 12-member panel. Bill Cosby was not present when the verdict was announced, and he did not testify during the trial. He was not sentenced to prison in this case.
Following the overturning of his 2018 sex crimes conviction for the rape of Andrea Constand in 2004, he is “almost certain” to appeal today’s verdict, according to Deadline.
Later, the Supreme Court declined to prosecute Bill Cosby; leaving in place a decision by Pennsylvania’s highest court to overturn his conviction and release him from prison.
Judy Huth filed a sexual battery and other claims against Bill in 2014; alleging that the assault occurred at the Playboy Mansion when she was a teen in the 1970s.
