Tiffany Haddish was arrested for driving while intoxicated

Tiffany Haddish was detained on Friday, January 14th, in the early hours of the morning.

At before 2:30 a.m., police from Georgia’s Peachtree Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a “driver asleep at the wheel.”

“While en route,” Assistant Chief of Police Matt Myers told E! News, “an officer noticed a car matching the description and eventually performed a traffic stop as the vehicle turned into the yard of a property.”

Tiffany was arrested for driving under the influence after further investigation, according to police. The 42-year-old actress was taken to the Fayette County Jail.

According to records acquired by TMZ, she was freed from jail at 6:30 a.m. after paying her $1,666 bond.

Her representative has yet to respond to E! News’ request for comment.

Tiffany, who will soon star in AppleTV+’s The Afterparty, split with actor Common after one year of dating, according to E! News in November.

He revealed the reasons for the separation to Fox Soul in December.

Tiffany is “one of the best individuals I’ve ever encountered,” he says, adding that she’s “one of the kindest-hearted, most real, and caring persons I’ve ever met, and that’s what made me adore her and be in love with her.”

They had a “healthy and loving” relationship, according to Common. He admitted, “It was certainly the most mature relationship I’ve ever been in.”

Their schedules made it tough to continue after the global lockdown was lifted. “Once Tiffany and I started back on the move, we weren’t able to devote as much time and energy to our relationship,” he explained. “I don’t believe the love was truly disseminated. We simply weren’t feeding the connection, in my opinion.”

Tiffany traveled to Eritrea in Africa later that month. “I’m overjoyed to be welcomed so cordially by my Grandfather’s village. My People, I adore them “Along with video footage from the trip, she stated. “When I look at the Mother Land, I feel so full of hope.”
