We have all seen animated movies and series throughout our childhood, and some of you along with your kids. Some of these shows have proven to be very addictive and once you have seen one or two series you can’t get enough. This list of the best animated series of all time and it is mostly based on our opinion but also the critics rating.

10- Avatar: The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender is actually one of the highest rated animated series of all time with an IMDb of 9.2 and 100% Rotten Tomatoes. It is quite high for a cartoon, isn’t it? Well if you have ever seen any of the short series of the show you will certainly agree with all the critics. The storyline shows the world as divided into the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. Aang, the new avatar, has to master all 4 elements and along with Katara and Sokka save the world from the Fire Nation.

9- Death Note

This animated movie is considered to be one of the best of all time. The IMDb is 9.0. The story follows Light Yagami, a genius teen who comes across a mysterious supernatural notebook: the “Death Note” which permits the user the supernatural ability to kill anyone whose name is written in its pages. The series revolves around Light’s attempts to use the Death Note to carry out a world-wide massacre of killing anyone who he thing is not worthy of the “Utopian” society that he wants to build. On the other side, police department with the mysterious “L” detective try to end the reign of terror that Light is building.

8- Dragon Ball

Dragon Ball Z, is probably one of the most famous cartoons around the world. It is rated with an IMDb of 8.7 and 8.8 TV.com. “Dragon Ball Z” follows the adventures of Goku who, along with the Z Warriors, protects the Earth against evil. The action adventures are entertaining and strengthen the concept of good versus evil. “Dragon Ball Z” teaches a lot about integrity such as teamwork, loyalty, and honesty.

Naruto is a world famous, Japanese series. It tells the story of Naruto

Uzumaki, a young ninja who wants to become the Hokage, the leader of his village. Together with his friends, he fights the “evil” every day.

6- Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon is a Japanese girly series written by Naoko Takeuchi. It was originally serialized from 1991 to 1997 but its popularity continued even in the 2000’s. The series follows the adventures of a schoolgirl named Sabrina as she transforms into Sailor Moon to search for a magical artifact, the “Legendary Silver Crystal”. She leads a various group of soldiers, the Sailor Soldiers. They are ruler soldiers of one planet and together they fight to protect the Silver Crystal, against villains.

5- SpongeBob SquarePants

SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated series that follows the adventures of a yellow sea sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants, who lives in the city of Bikini Bottom deep in the Pacific Ocean. He has a job at the Krusty Krab restaurant and his best friend is a starfish named Patrick. In Bikini Bottom everything is anything but normal, you will see a crab light a fire underwater and a shrimp with earphones. It has a rating of 8.1 on IMDb.

There is no one in the world that doesn’t know Tom and Jerry. Tom and Jerry is an American animated series of short comedy films and it follows the friendship and rivalry between the hilarious Tom , and Jerry. It was the first time in history that everyone was glued to their TV , watching the adventures of a cat and mouse.

The Japonese gave us another great animated series named Yu-Gi-Oh. The series follows the adventures of a shy high-school student named Yugi Moto. When Yugi receives the fragmented pieces of an Egyptian artifact from his grandfather, things start to get weird. While reassembling the puzzle he gets possessed by the 3,000-year-old spirit of an ancient pharaoh. Yugi along with his friends protect the puzzle, which contains powerful secrets many people would like to possess.

When you saw the title you started singing the song out loud. Sandokan is a young man who soon after the death of his mentor discovers that he actually is the son the rajah of the lost kingdom of Kiltar. He avenges his father’s death and takes the lead of his country.

With his crew of pirates, named the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as “One Piece” in order to become the next King of the Pirates.
