Travis Scott is being sued
Another lawsuit has been filed against Travis Scott.
The family of 14-year-old John Hilgert, who tragically died at Astroworld during a devastating crowd surge, is suing the entertainer and Live Nation.
The lawsuit, which was filed in Houston, Texas on Wednesday (November 24), argues that Travis and the event organizers failed to create a safe environment for guests; citing a lack of security guards, barriers, and emergency workers as examples.
“The loss of our son John, who did not make it home alive from such an event, is unbearable”. His father said in the suit, “He was a handsome young guy who merely wanted to enjoy his first concert event with friends; whom he cherished spending time with more than anything else.”
“It is the least we can do to honor John’s memory if this action stops even one family from having to go through the immense sorrow and anguish that we have.”
According to reports, the lawsuit is seeking $1 million in damages.
Hundreds of alleged victims have filed lawsuits against Travis and Live Nation, seeking $2 billion and $750 million in damages.
