Zac Efron is down for a ‘High School Musical’ Reboot!

Bring on the happy tears!

Zac Efron is speaking out about whether he would be interested in doing another High School Musical film; and he says, “Of course.”

During a recent interview to promote his upcoming film Firestarter; which hits theaters and Peacock THIS Friday, the 34-year-old actor was asked about it (May 13).

“Of course, of course,” he responded to E! News. “I mean, any opportunity to go back and work with that team would be incredible.” My heart is still beating. That would be fantastic. I’m hoping it happens.”

Of course, the HSM franchise lives on in the form of High School Musical: The Musical; The Series on Disney+, which returns for season three this summer.

Though Zac is eager to return to Troy Bolton, two of his co-stars have already stated that they are unlikely to return.

Drew Seeley, who did the majority of Zac’s singing vocals in the first film, has released a new dance remix of “Breaking Free”!
